A few Twitter-related requests:

• Posts imported from Twitter (and other text posts) no longer automatically link Twitter usernames.  For example, Tumblr used to automatically change @taestell to @taestell.  They removed this functionality without warning.  When they did so, it affected not only new posts but existing posts as well.  Why did they do this?  Perhaps they are trying to distance themselves from Twitter for some reason.
• Tumblr imports Twitter posts somewhat randomly and adds them in one big burst.  It would be nice if Tumblr could integrate with the Twitter API and check for new posts more often.
  • As a consolation, it would be nice if Tumblr would use the timestamp from the tweet as the post time for the Tumblr post as well.  Currently, Tumblr will import several tweets at once and post them all using the time that the feed was imported.
