As I understand it, some links from my dashboard will open in a new tab or window and some will load in the same tab or window, it just depends on how the blog’s owner has set links to open. Inevitably, when I’m scrolling through my never-ending dashboard, I click on something that opens in the current tab, forcing me to reload and scroll through a bunch of posts when I return from reading it. Why can’t I set all links in my own dashboard to open in new tabs? Sure, I could religiously right-click and open-in-a-new-tab, but why do I want to do that?

{ed. — agree 100%. I always always always want links from my Dashboard to open in new tabs, and failing to do this has dire consequences if you have “Endless Scrolling” enabled. This definitely ought to be a Tumblr preference.}
